WELLINGTON Silver Band will be staging their tenth free Proms in the Park event in Wellington Park on Saturday (July 13), starting at 6.30pm.

A spokesperson for the band said: “All forms of flag-waving and picnicking are encouraged!”

After many months of fundraising the band have re-introduced their traditional red tunics and these will be proudly worn for the first time on Saturday. The Dolphin Inn will be supporting the band by providing a food outlet and a bar.

The spokesperson added: “The band are grateful for the support of the Friends of Wellington Park.”
