NICK Girone-Maddocks and Paul Hill, who play in local Bluegrass band Thunderbridge, will be presenting Duolo in The Old Sorting Office behind Wiveliscombe Post Office in West Street tomorrow (Thursday, July 11). 

Duolo features two veterans of acoustic music who have combined gigging experience of more than 60 years.

Thunderbridge are a nationally-known quintet but Duolo gives Nick and Paul – both singer-songwriters – the chance to play stripped-back concerts where they share the stage for solo and duo performances.

The set list, featuring a mouth-watering line-up of acoustic guitars, banjo, mandolin and electric guitar, is made up of a mixture of original and classic material, drawing from their combined influences of country, Americana and bluegrass.

This, along with some impressive on-stage ad-libbing and banter, makes for a super evening of intimate acoustic music.
