CHEF Tib Grieve, of Mantle Street, Wellington, has won awards at the prestigious Cake International event at the NEC in Birmingham.
She won a gold award in the Cup Cakes (Tasted) category and a silver award in the Cup Cakes (Not Tasted) section at the sugarcraft and cake decorating and baking show.
Tib, who works as a bank chef for the Somerset Care Group, started her business the Little Buttercup Cakery last August. She won firsts at Taunton Flower Show in the celebration class and the cupcake class.
Tib said: “I like baking and I like decorating – sometimes I sit here until 2am working. I compete just to measure the standard of my work and to see what the expert judges think.”
