BUSES dating from the 1930s to the 1950s headed to Wellington, Bishops Lydeard and outlying villages on a Vintage Bus Day run from Castle Green in Taunton.

About 50 vehicles took part in the fifth annual event and the Museum of Somerset opened for the day, hosting a display of model tram layouts and other activities.
Mike Marshall, for the organisers, said: “We’d like to acknowledge that the whole day would not have been possible without the full support of the Buses of Somerset and all the vehicle owners who freely came along to display their ‘pride and joy’ and allow everyone to take a trip back into the past.”
