WELLINGTON teenage bowls sensation Amy Stanton has been named Player of the Year by the English Women's Indoor Bowling Association.
The 18-year-old, who won the National Under 25 singles title in March, has admitted: "I never expected this.
"Just looking at some of the names of previous winners is mind-blowing.
"Last year's winner Carol Ashby has won several world titles."
