ANDREW Sully (Conservative) is the new Wellington town councillor representing East Ward after voters went to the polls yesterday, with 308 votes.

He beat Mark Lithgow (Liberal Democrat) who polled 269 votes, and Jill Mitton (Labour) who got 113 votes.

The turnout was 22%.
