WELLINGTON School has announced its new partnership with a prestigious performing art school.

Wellington is now the formal hub for Guildhall Young Artists (GYA) in the South West.

Teachers from GYA will be at the school every Saturday morning, and some of the region’s best performing arts creatives will be training in the town.

A spokesperson for Wellington School, said: “This will open more doors for children in the Westcountry and provide unique opportunities for our own students to visit GYA.

“Guildhall Young Artists Taunton is the regional hub of the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama and we are excited by this new partnership which places Wellington as an exciting place to be in the world of Performing Arts.”
