LOCAL travel agency boss Miles Morgan received another award in London last week.

It was for his outstanding contribution to the travel industry over a 30-year career.

Mr Morgan started as a junior in a travel agency in Devon before joining Bristol-based firm Bakers Dolphin, where latterly he was sales and marketing manager.

His career took him on to running the sales and marketing for the UK’s largest travel company, Thomson. During his time there he was appointed to the main board of ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents).

In 2006, he founded Miles Morgan Travel, his own travel agency chain. Earlier this year the company was awarded Best Travel Agent in the South West and South Wales 2016 at the Travel Weekly awards.
