NATURALIST Stephen Parker is to lead a walk around Milverton to identify and map important trees.

He will also show how to identify different trees in winter by looking at their twigs and buds.

Results from the walk will be shared with Taunton Deane Borough Council and added to the national Treezilla Project which is making a monster map of Britain’s trees and finding out how they benefit the local environment.

Walkers will meet at Milverton Sawmill at 10.30am on Saturday, January 28, and a small charge of £2.50 is being asked to help cover costs (children under 16 free).
