Wellington among three fire crews working to free horse trapped in farm slurry pitOfficers stopped a female driving in Cades Farm at about 1.30am on September 21 and after she failed a roadside breath test she was arrested and taken to Bridgwater Police Station. Another breath test was carried out there and she was again over the limit and was charged with the offence.
Officers were called to Longforth Road on September 7 at just after midnight following a collision between a car and a stationary van.
The male driver of the car was arrested following failure of a breath test. He failed a second test at the police station and was charged with the offence.
He has since been to court and received a 27-month ban, a community order with a curfew between 8.30pm-8.30am each day for two months. He was also fined £120 and given an order to pay £135 costs.
The incidents were reported at the latest meeting of Wellington Town Council.
