Val White was presented with a floral bouquet by churchwarden Jenny Doble at the end of Sunday morning service at St Mary’s Church, Hemyock.

Churchwarden David Bawler, thanking Val for her ten years’ service as Sacrosanct, announced that following Val’s retirement the post would be taken over by Diana Cooper.

He appealed for anyone else who would be willing to be trained who could stand in when needed.
