LOVE was certainly in the air as residents at Oaktree Court care home in Middle Green Road, Wellington, celebrated Valentine’s Day.
There was also a big shock for Sheila Smith who received a surprise visit from one of her favourite Irish singers Kenny Paul.
Kenny is one of the most popular singers in Ireland and has a very busy touring schedule.
Staff member Tracy Stimson was behind the visit, sending a message to Kenny who, she knew, was in the South-West. Sheila also received Kenny’s latest CD and a signed poster – plus a kiss!

Nicola and Sharon went on to ‘ditch’ their activities clothes for chefs’ uniforms to help the dining staff – Rosemary Stephens, Dan Cash and Sue Wright – to make and serve dinner in the evening.
It proved a day to remember for all residents – and staff.
