ALIVE in Milverton and the Recreation Ground committee are hosting a Village Picnic as part of the national Great Get Together Weekend at the Recreation Ground in Butts Way on Sunday (June 18).

No entertainment is planned but visitors are invited to take along a picnic and make their own fun with ball games, frisbees and so on. Classic car owners may like to take their vehicles along and show them off.

The Recreation Ground is open from noon until dusk and the bar at the cricket club will be open for the sale of alcoholic drinks.

No charge will be made for the event but a bucket collection will be held towards Recreation Ground funds.
