A poignant tribute to the fallen heroes of war from Hemyock is taking place at St Mary’s parish church in the lead up to Armistice Day.
As part of the Royal British Legion’s commemoration of the centenary of the end of the First World War silent silhouettes will sit among the congregation for the Remembrance service at 10.15am on Sunday and a poppy will hang suspended from the pulpit.
The service, during which wreaths will be laid at the war memorial, is being taken by Rev Chris Hudson. It will be preceded by a parade from the Parish Hall at 9.55am which everyone is invited to be part of.
