WACKY Wednesday – which provides family entertainment and social outlets – at Dobree Park’s football field proved popular for 160 children and parents.

Activities included Do It Yourself face painting, football, arts and crafts and ‘music to movement’ with Wellington-based dementia charity Reminiscence Learning.

The event was arranged by the Wellington One Team.

Another Wacky Wednesday is planned for August 21 at Cades Farm in the lower play area and for August 28 at Wellington Park, both from 10.30am-noon. The cost is £1 a child.
