GARDENERS in Wellington are being reminded there is still time to enter a competition to find the weirdest vegetable in the county.

Anne Mitchell, co-owner of the farm shop, in Rumwell on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington, said: “We would like everyone who enters to be as imaginative as possible. Although we don’t have any hard and fast rules we are looking for vegetables that resemble people, animals, or are unusually shaped or grotesque.”
