Hello children! I hope you’re having a good week.
On Thursday, the sun was shining so I decided to help mum and dad by washing the car. I used soapy water and the hose, until all the mud was off. I cleaned the windows – inside and out – so you could see through them clearly. After I was finished, the car looked brand new! In the afternoon we had lollipops in the sun and I read my book for a while.
On Friday, I played video games online with Toby in the morning. We played Fifa and he won all the games! I wanted to practise my own football skills so I put on my trainers and played in the garden. I made a goal out of two plant pots and did some ‘keepie-uppies’. After lunch, dad and I played a small game and I beat him every time! Practice makes perfect!
On Saturday, I went on a walk with mum and dad. We climbed a tall hill and I could see all over the countryside. On the walk we saw a grass snake! It slithered between the grass and made me jump but it wasn’t scary. We also saw deer in the distance but they ran when they saw us move. When we got home I wanted to draw a picture of the countryside, and I drew in the deer and grass snake we saw. I read my book for a while in the evening and then went to bed.
On Sunday, I spent the morning checking the plants and watering them. We have some shoots coming from the vegetables we planted so I’ll expect so see them grow more very soon. I mowed the lawn and pulled some weeds. In the afternoon dad and I played badminton but I am still pretty rubbish! We started playing football instead – at least I can beat him at that! In the evening we had a roast dinner, which was delicious!
On Monday I did some school work – including Geography where we have been learning about climate change. I made a poster about reducing, reusing and recycling and I have been looking for plastic in our home that can be reused. I found some old bottles, and I cut them through the middle and filled each half with soil – these can be used as home-made plant pots! I planted a seed in each one and watered them. In the evening we had spaghetti for tea and I read for a while before bed.
On Tuesday I spent time in the garden watering the plants – we have lots now and the garden looks very colourful. I did some school work outside, I am learning about lifecycles and have to write an information text about them soon. I relaxed in the sun and played card games for most of the afternoon. Later, me, mum and dad made pizzas with dough and different toppings – they were super yummy!
Hope you have a great week.
WELLY BEAR
