Hello children! I hope you’re having a good week.

On Thursday I went to the park with Toby. We played on the swings and slides all morning. We had a picnic for lunch and in the afternoon the ice cream van came! We played football with some other friends and then I watched a film when I got home.

On Friday I did some baking. I made apple roses with pastry and sliced apple. It was tricky to make – I had to slice apples really thinly then roll them together with pastry, to make them look like flowers. Mum helped me take them out of the oven and when we tried them, they were really yummy! The kitchen was really messy afterwards so I helped mum clean up. We had dinner together and I read my book in the evening.

On Saturday Toby’s mum organised a sports day in the park. Me and a few friends did skipping, throwing and running, which was so much fun. We even did an egg and spoon race with real eggs! So many of them broke! My favourite sports day activity was playing with the parachute, and bouncing the ball up and over the top of it. It was fun to see all my friends but I was exhausted by the end of the day.

On Sunday dad and I went kayaking, which I had never done before. It was really sunny and dad and I shared a kayak – he sat at the back and I sat at the front. We had to use oars to paddle along the canal and we saw lots of swans and geese. It was hot, so I went for a swim and dad let me jump off the kayak! We came home and had a roast dinner, what a great day!

On Monday Toby and I went for a cycle ride over the fields nearby. There were small hills and ramps so Toby and I went really fast! We wore helmets and knee pads to be safe but we loved it! It was super tiring cycling back up the hills but it was worth it when we got to zoom down. We went back to my house and had ice lollies to cool down.

On Tuesday it was really hot again so mum and I put the paddling pool up. It took a while to fill but once it was done I sat in it and drank cold lemonade! Yummy! I read my book, relaxed and sunbathed all afternoon, what a great day!

Have a good week kids!
