Hello children! I hope you’re having a good week.
One of my favourite things to do is jump on the trampoline in the rain – and on Thursday I had the chance when it tipped down. It seems crazy, but it’s so much fun! When I came back indoors I made sure to dry myself properly and put warm clothes on.
On Friday it was still really soggy outdoors so we drove to some tennis courts. Dad and I played tennis and I wasn’t very good, but dad taught me how to serve and do a backhand. When we came home we realised that the car had got really muddy from the drive, so dad said if I washed it I could get fish and chips for tea. I made it squeaky clean, so we got the takeaway!
On Saturday I went clothes shopping with mum because I needed new pyjamas. I got lots new pairs with fun patterns – and mum also got me a onesie – which is super cosy. I built a den in the lounge and slept in it overnight.
On Sunday I was quite tired, so I had a lie in. I played Fifa with Toby online and he beat me every time. We met up that afternoon as his mum took us to play mini-golf. It was pirate-themed and super-fun. We ordered a pizza and ate it in his garden, and we played a little that evening.
On Monday I did some school work which involved learning about the Ancient Greeks. I had to take notes and write about the Battle of Marathon, which took place in 490BC. At this battle, a messenger ran 26 miles from Marathon to Athens, and this is where the modern marathon run comes from! Did you know that?
On Tuesday I continued my work on the Ancient Greeks by researching Greek Myths. They were really interesting. I spent my day finding out facts and reading stories, and in the afternoon I drew a picture of my own mythical monster. Mum and dad also liked learning about the Greeks, so we had Greek meal for dinner.
Have a good week kids!
