MORE spaces are to be provided at North Street car park in Wellington, it was reported at the February meeting of the town

council.

Councillors heard that Taunton Deane, which owns the car park, had money in the kitty for a new tarmac surface.

It was hoped that a new layout would mean room for an extra seven or eight cars.

The car park was usually about 75 per cent full, councillors were told.
