FUNDRAISING lawyers from Clarke Willmott LLP’s Taunton office have raised more than £15,000 in 21 months in support of Wellington-based dementia charity Reminiscence Learning and national charity Teenage Cancer Trust.

The good causes, adopted as Clarke Willmott’s office charities in September 2016, will share the sponsorship collected through dress-down days, bake sales and sponsorship raised at the firm’s biannual Golf Day and Race Night.

Reminiscence Learning is a regional and national charity which provides specialist training in dementia and reminiscence.

Teenage Cancer Trust provides support and expert treatment to young people aged 13-24 diagnosed with cancer.

Emma Green at Reminiscence Learning said: “We have absolutely loved being one of Clarke Willmott’s chosen charities. All the team have been so helpful and supportive, and an absolute pleasure to work alongside – the two years have just flown by!

“A huge thank you from the bottom of my heart to all at Clarke Willmott, for making it such a fun, memorable and successful partnership.”

Charlie Porter from Teenage Cancer Trust said: “The passion, motivation and enthusiasm in their fundraising has really wowed us and, as a result of their hard work and efforts, have raised a huge amount to help and support teenagers and young adults diagnosed with cancer.

“Thank you, Clarke Willmott, for helping us ensure no young person has to face cancer alone.”

Kate Gardner, head of the Taunton office, said: “Both Reminiscence Learning and Teenage Cancer Trust are incredible causes, and we are delighted to give our support in this way to the individuals who work for or volunteer with them.”

Clarke Willmott would like to thank everyone who has contributed and helped raise the money for both charities.
