PHOTOGRAPHER Robin Steward is seeking people in Wellington who would like to have their picture taken for a social history project called ‘Wellington Folk’.

Robin, who runs Orbit Photography and normally specialises in wedding and family photography, has lived in Wellington for seven years and started his family in the town.

He said: “It’s a wonderful community thanks to those who call it home and the contribution they make to the fabric of the place, and it is these people I want to photograph for the project.

“It is less about photography and more about the people of the town. It aims to be representative of our community – those photographed are from all walks of life and the goal is to create an objective and visual social history record that will contribute to our community now and long into the future.

“The only criteria is that folk live within the town of Wellington.”
