PATIENTS of the Luson Surgery in Wellington may have had problems contacting the surgery on Monday and early today (Tuesday) as a fallen tree damaged phone lines.

Wellington to lose its former WH Smith store just five months after takeoverThe surgery was able to divert calls to another phone but this meant it had only one line into the building. The surgery managed to call back most of the patients whose calls were missed.
Practice manager Martin Ellacott said the surgery would like to apologise for the fact that patients had trouble getting through but says the system is now back to normal.
