WELLINGTON School have beaten Wellington Colts 27pts-19 to retain the Sam Sherwin Memorial Shield.

The teams play each other annually for the shield, which is in memory of Sam Sherwin, son of Wellington RFC's director of rugby, who died suddenly after spending seven years at the school.
