RECORDS were broken and one person travelled from as far away as Wellington, New Zealand, to take part in the World Wellington Boot Throwing Championships.

The fourth championships on Satuirday (Sept 8) organised by Wellington Chamber of Trade and Commerce attracted a crowd of more than 1,500.
