ROMANTIC young men from the Wellington area are being urged to step up and audition for the part of Romeo in a forthcoming production of Romeo and Juliet.

Taunton Thespians are staging Shakespeare’s classic love story outdoors at several venues around Somerset in July.

Director Peter Norbury said: “I have a collection of Capulets and a mob of Montagues, some outstanding Friar Laurences and some lovely Juliets but I’m missing a Romeo and a Benvolio.  Ideally, we are looking for young men aged 16-20.”

Prospective Romeos – and Benvolios – cannot afford to dither – an audition is being held at Thespians’ headquarters at The Place in Wilfred Road, Taunton, tomorrow (Thursday) at 7.30pm.  For details, or to book an audition time, email show producer Vin Cunningham at [email protected]  or  phone 01460 53490.
