WILL Hester, of Wellington, was a member of university singing group All the King’s Men who finished runners-up in the final of
the BBC Saturday show Pitch Battle on
Saturday.
Judges Gareth Malone, Kelis and Deke Sharon decided to put All The Kings Men and Leeds Contemporary Singers through to the final battle, where the groups went head to head to sing Adele’s Rolling in the Deep.
The public were then left to decide who should be the winner, as the two groups sang one more song together, Say a Little Prayer.
Kelis then walked towards the winners as she sang alone, with Leeds Contemporary Singers stunned to see the Milkshake performer stepping their way.
However, the victory was marred slightly by sound issues which blighted the final, and the last sing-off between the two groups.
Viewers took to Twitter in their droves to complain about the mic issues, which seemed to affect members of All The King’s Men.
