The Wivey Link has been boosted by a £1000 donation from the Wiveliscombe Rotary Club.

The volunteer run charity was presented with the large check in the Wiveliscombe Area Partnership offices on January 19.

Pauline Homeshaw, Chair of the Wiveliscombe Area Partnership said: “Through funds raised from a very successful raffle in the summer months, members of the Club presented Wivey Link with a £1000 cheque towards the continuation of the great community transport service it offers to people right across and the 10 Parishes and beyond.

She added: “Some of the Club's members gathered in the Wiveliscombe Community Office to present the cheque with the comment ‘Spend it wisely!’. It certainly will be."

The Wiveliscombe Rotary Club is a sponsor of the Wivey Link. The club is actively involved in the community, and regularly raise money for local charities and events.

The Rotary Club have been supporting the Wivey Link since its inception, over 20 years ago. It’s thanks to donations like these that the Wivey Link can continue to combat rural isolation and provide transport for the sick or disabled.
