JULIA Donaldson’s ‘Superworm’ was just one of the performance pieces enjoyed by family and friends at West Buckland School’s third annual Poetry Prowl.

“The children gain an amazing sense of achievement from learning their poems and presenting to a real audience,” said head teacher Helen MacGregor. “To be able to speak confidently and clearly in public is such an important skill. Our Poetry Prowl makes it possible for every child to succeed at this and to have fun in the process’.”
