JOIN Wellington Choral Society for an enchanting evening of music at their spring concert on Saturday, March 28.

Under the baton of music director Laurence Blyth, the choral society will be performing Brahms German Requiem at St John the Baptist Church, Wellington.

A spokesperson for Wellington Choral Society described Brahms German Requiem as an ‘uplifting requiem designed to comfort the living rather than pray for the dead and does not follow the traditional Latin Mass. It uses texts chosen by Brahms to provide consolation and is often referred to as a human requiem.’

The performance begins at 7 pm.

A full church is expected, and early booking is advised via www.wellingtonchoralsociety.org.uk or through choir members.
