WELLINGTON Town's away game against Cheddar in South Division of the Western Counties Floodlit Youth Football League tonight has been called off because of the bad weather.

It is a big disappointment for Wellington who could have gone six points clear of the field if they had won tonight.

"It's a pity, because we are just beginning to gather momentum," said manager Joe Conway today. "The lads are much stronger than last season and that's why we're doing so well."

Wellington, who have a three-point lead over the field, are due to play at home to second-placed Chard Town next Tuesday.
