Teenage Wellington motorcycle racer Bradley Richman made it to the second round of the British Superbike Superstock 600 Championship after his engine blow up at Donington’s first round, writes Kerry Rawson.
Hel Performance, Gearlink Kawasaki and Road and Race Performance found him a replacement engine just in time to get him back out on track.
Changeable weather made the weekend at Snetterton difficult, with winds up to 28mph, but Bradley was happy to be back out on his Hel Performance Kawasaki and got his lap times down from 2:02.10 to a 1:59.561 over the course of the weekend after sorting out suspension issues. He is still making massive improvements each time out.
Bradley, after finishing his first proper BSB Stock 600 race, said: “It was definitely worth the wait, as I improved from free practice to qualifying 23rd and then finishing 17th in the race. I know I have so much to learn before I even get close to the front guys, as everyone in the stock 600 class is so fast, but I really enjoyed every minute being out there with them as I’ve learned so much already. The Hel Performance Kawasaki was faultless.”
Bradley cannot thank his sponsors enough for sticking by him in difficult times and he hopes to repay them all with a solid performance at his next race at Silverstone on September 4-6.
