CHAMPIONS Ashbrittle will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season in the first division of the West Somerset Cricket League when they play at home to struggling Winsford on Saturday, June 14.
Ashbrittle, who lost only two matches last season in winning the title, are currently lying fourth while Winsford are bottom, having yet to win a game.
Meanwhile, Kilve will be looking to consolidate their position at the top of the first division when they play at home to struggling Brompton Ralph.
Despite not playing last weekend because of the bad weather, Kilve go into the match with a 23-point lead over second-placed Bagborough, both sides having played the same number of games. Kilve have won four of their opening games and have also been awarded maximum points for a cancelled fixture. Their game last weekend against Bridgetown was one of a number of matches called off because of the bad weather, meaning both teams were awarded 12 points.
