WELLINGTON have made a flying start to the season in the Premier Division of the Somerset Cricket League after being relegated from the West of England League at the end of last summer, writes Barry Knott.
They made it four wins from four matches when they beat struggling Burnham on Sea by 153 runs away over the weekend.
Young skipper Alex Campbell again led from the front, top scoring with 74 runs, with eight 4s and three 6s, and snapped up three middle-order batsman for only 14 runs, while the experienced Neil Hendy made 54 and took 2-14.
Burnham, who had lost all three of their previous games, faced a target of 249 to win but never recovered after losing their first three wickets for only seven runs. Four of their batsmen made ducks while two others managed only one.
