WELLINGTON Cricket Club begins its eighth winter coaching programme for youth players this Friday (January 13) at Court Fields School’s Sports Hall with three sessions between 5.30pm and 8.30pm, writes David Derrick.

 The sessions, which are run in conjunction with Wellington Town Council which has generously supported matters once more, will see all ages of young player, From those who are trying the game for the very first time to those who are in their final year of secondary education and who are already playing senior cricket get together in managed groups relevant to both age and ability and receive relevant and usable training.

 All sessions cost just £1 per child per week and this represents great value for money once more.

The schedule is as follows: Friday 13th January – Friday 10th March inclusive; Friday 17th March – Friday 24th March sees no sessions taking place due to exams in CFS’s Sports Hall; Friday 31st March; Friday 7th April –Youth section registration evening at Wellington CC Clubhouse.
