WELLINGTON must start winning matches if they are going to avoid relegation in the Somerset Division of the West of England Cricket League.

They are now bottom of the table after losing by six wickets at home to fellow strugglers Butleigh on Saturday.

This coming Saturday they have a crucial home game against Frome who are fourth from bottom.

Wellington hit rock bottom over the weekend against Butleigh, their batting again letting them down.

Batting first they made 158 all out and Butleigh knocked off the runs for the loss of four wickets to record only their third victory of the season.

Although their bowling has been good at times this season, Wellington’s batting has been poor and they have collected only 13 bowling points, seven fewer than the next worst side.

With only seven matches remaining, every game is vital for Wellington who want to stay in the division.
