WIVELISCOMBE Ist XV’s Somerset Premier match at home to Bridgwater and Albion’s 2nd XV scheduled for Saturday was called off in controversial circumstances after the home team and the match official agreed that the pitch was playable, writes Roger Bellamy.

However Bridgwater were not happy, deciding that the ground was too hard with frost in front of the grandstand at The Rec. The game has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 4 (2.30).
