WELLINGTON Reserves came from behind to beat Colyton 6-3 away in the Premier Division of the Stitch2Print Devon & Exeter Football League.

Wellington created early chances but it was the home side who took the lead. And it was not long before Wellington found themselves 2-0 down as a shot from 20 yards evaded the keeper.

Jack Bryant hit the crossbar before Wellington pulled a goal back after 30 minutes when Alfie Barrett played the ball back to Bryant who hit a fine shot which left the keeper rooted to the spot Five minutes later, Wellington found a equaliser as Barrett scored from close range.

Wellington took the lead after an hour as Jack Bryant beat a defender to the ball and, as he raced through on goal, slipped the ball past the advancing keeper to make it 3-2.

Within five minutes, Colyton drew level from a penalty - harshly awarded against keeper Harry Gregory, with Luke Perry sin binned for his complaint. Despite being down to ten men, Wellington took the game to Colyton with Ollie Nott having an excellent chance as he raced clear with only the keeper to beat but dragged his shot wide.

With Perry back on the pitch, Wellington re-took the lead when he sent over a fine cross which was met by Alfie Barrett to thump a header into the net - 4-3 to Wellington.

A fifth goal was not far away and, after a fine move on the right, Sam Poole found himself unmarked at the back post to tap home from six yards. With the lads flying, player of the match Jack Bryant added a sixth and completed his hat-trick.
