WELLINGTON Football Club’s players are expected to report back for pre-season training later this month.
First team boss Tim Legg says training will follow Government guidelines with groups of five and a coach. Training will start on the week starting June 22. He reckons six potential new players are set to attend the first week’s training.
“Obviously it is going to take some organising,” said Legg, who took over as manager last October. “We need to know how many players will be involved and whether we will need to split the sessions over one night or two.
“At the moment we don’t have a date for when the season will start. We just have to be patient and wait for the league to give us the go-ahead. Sessions will also involve reserve team players.
Wellington will again be playing in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League with the reserves competing in the first division of the Devon and Exeter League. Wellington A will play in Division One of the Invest Southwest Taunton Saturday League following promotion.
