WELLINGTON will be looking to end the year on a winning note when they play at home to Barnstaple Town in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western Football League on Boxing Day, with a 1p.m. kick-off.

Richard Cherry’s side have been playing well since he rejoined the club as manager last month with results not always going their way. Wellington are hoping for a bumper crowd.

Wellington have an eight-day break before they return to action with another home game - this time against Oldland Abbotonians in the Premier Division on Saturday, January 3 (3p.m.).

One of the top matches on January 3 will be the clash between title-chasing Clevedon Town and Paulton Rovers who are also looking for a return to the Southern League.
