KEITH Cooper won the John Stevens Cup in the Saturday Medal Competition at Oake Manor Golf Club.
The trophy is named after John Stevens who was a former Wellington footballer and Oake member who died 20 years ago at the age of only 59.
Keith scored nett 68 to win Division One. The next three players in this division all had nett 69s and, on count back, Rob Berry was second, Marc Holloway was third and Jamie Tong was fourth.
Thomas Horsey won Division Two with nett 68 but came second to Keith Cooper for the trophy on count back. Charles Hardman was second, also with nett 68, John Coleman was third with nett 69 and Gareth Morgan was fourth with nett 70. Noah Jones won Division Three with nett 70, Richard Connell was second, also with nett 70, Martin Evans was third with nett 71
and Will Andrew came fourth with nett 72.
In the Ladies Medal Competition on Sunday, Pat Snellings was a runaway winner, scoring a nett 64, six shots clear of second-placed Claire Tough, Janet Howe came third with nett 73 and Kathy Salway was fourth with nett 76.
Steve Cross scored 40 points to win the Seniors Monday Stableford Competition. Second in Division One was Gary Jackson with 38 points, Seniors Captain John Beer was third with 36 points and Paul Scribbins was fourth, also with 36 points.
Antony Rowe won Division Two, scoring 37 points while the next three players all scored 36 points. On count back, Simon Lambrechts was second, John Stinchcombe third and Rhudian Williams fourth.
Jenny Swann won the Ladies Veterans Trophy in the Tuesday Stableford Competition. Karen Potter won Division One, scoring 40 points, Jenny Musgrove came second with 37 points, Nancy Marshall was third with 35 points and Sue Corlett was fourth with 34 points.
Megan Hembury won Division Two, scoring 35 points, Jenny Swann was second with 34 points, the best score by a lady over 70, Ros Shepherd was third with 32 points and Mo Young was fourth with 31 points.
