OAKE Manor Golf Club have started competitions again after a four-month break because of Covid-19, the first event being a Men’s Saturday Stableford which was very well supported with 146 golfers entering.

Clive Thorne won Division One, scoring 38 points, Jon Ball was second, also with 38 points, Kevin Ward came third with 37 points and Colin Dyke was fourth, with the same number of points.

Steve Barham won Division Two scoring 41 points, John Ashton was second, also 41 points, Robert Stevens was third with 39 points and Mark Wooliscroft fourth with 38 points.

Joseph Rossillo won Division Three with 42 points – the best score of the day – Joseph Holmes was second with 41 points, Martin Evans was third, also with 41 points, and fourth was Michael Speed with 39 points.

Charlotte Bolton won Division One in the Sunday Ladies Stableford with 40 points, Nadine Bridgway was second with 36 points, Jill Loader came third with 31 points and Suzanne Reed was fourth, also with 31 points.

Helen White won Division Two with an outstanding score of 44 points – the best of the day – Claire Tough came second with 36 points, Kayleigh Avery was third with 35 points and Past Ladies captain Patricia Frazer was fourth with 34 points.

More than 100 golfers played in the Wednesday Midweek Stableford. Daniel White won Division One with an excellent score of 42 points, Andrew Ford came second, also with 42 points, Jack Malden was third with 38 points and Graeme Garwood was fourth, also with 38 points.

Dave Rossillo won Division Two, scoring 39 points, Steve Cann was second, also with 39 points, Mike Robbins was third with 38 points and Alan Bowey fourth, with 36 points. PETER SWANN
