DUE to coronavirus and instructions from Boris, squash has been put on the back-burner. During this enforced lay-off Wellington Squash and Racketball Club has made the most of the shutdown by carrying out improvement works to the men’s changing facilities.
Working alone the first job was to remove the old shower units, followed by the removal and re-tiling of the shower walls and re-fit new shower units.
This is the first step in improving the men’s changing facility which has not had a facelift for many years.
While some limited squash is available for single family members or those in a ‘bubble’ the only squash that can be played is a game of sides. The rules and precautions are laid out by England Squash and limits the use of the facilities to the courts only, with suitable hand sanitisers in place.
