RED Dragon Karate, based at Langford Budville, are proud to report that their student Thea Priest, aged 16, has been selected to represent England at the World Shotokan Karate Championships in Treviso, Italy, next month.

The club is becoming well known for promoting the very highest standards in karate.

hey have enjoyed excellent domestic competition success at National level in recent years, boasting many students who have excelled at the Martial Art, none more prolific than Thea, who has fully justified her selection after a string of outstanding results.

Chief Instructor of Red Dragon Karate, Sensei Peter Milne, 3rd Dan, said: “I cannot describe how proud we are of Thea. She is the first South West based student to be selected for a World Championships in recent memory.

“It is a testament to how hard all at the club train, constantly striving to improve and encouraging others.

“We are excited to follow her progress in Italy, competing against the best from across the globe”

The tournament runs from September 22-24. Red Dragon Karate are currently recruiting new members of all ages.
