GERONIMO are off the mark at last in the Wellington Ladies Skittles League.
After 17 matches without a victory, they came good on Monday night when they beat former champions All Blacks away by three pins. Star skittler of the match was Michelle Macdonald who hit a fantastic 63.
In the big game of the night, champions Jolly Blues beat Split Pins by ten pins away to move four points clear of their title rivals - with only two matches to play.
Land Girls, who won the KO Cup the previous Monday, remain third but are out of the title running despite winning by three pins away to LOA Spare with Carol Gamlin being their leading skittler with 46.
Magan Lang was in good form for Wanderers, scoring 56 but her side went down by ten pins at home to Wobbly Pins.
