WELLINGTON and Wiveliscombe end an enforced two-week break from rugby with away games this coming Saturday.
Matt Parsons’ Wellington face their most difficult game so far when they play Western Counties North leaders Matson who are 100 per cent after six games.
They have also gained some big victories and won away to Bristol Harlequins 41-20 last time out.
Wellington have lost four of their six games this season but have by no means been outplayed. They gave Keynsham, another side with a 100 per cent record, a run for their money in their last game at the Athletic Ground before losing 17-9.
They paid heavily for conceding an inception side that day. Instead of getting back on level terms they found themselves 12-0 down, a deficit they never managed to bridge. Head player-coach Parsons believes his side are showing too much respect for their opponents.
Wiveliscombe will be looking to keep up the pressure at the top of Somerset Premier when they play at Stothert and Pitt.
Wiveliscombe are fourth in the table and the Bath side are ninth. However both have won the same number of games so this will not be an easy trip for Wivey who beat Weston-super-Mare 26-24 after trailing by 21 points at one stage in their last appearance.
Wellington 2nd XV, who beat their Chard counterparts 46-15 11 days ago, are home to Crewkerne who are fourth.
Wiveliscombe 2nd XV are home to 100 per centers Hornets 2nd XV in Somerset Two South while Wellington 3rd XV are scheduled to play Wyvern 2nd XV in Somerset South Three.
Wellington start the game bottom with minus 15 points.
