RYAN Seale is out of the World Darts Championship after reaching the third round of this year's competition. .

Searle, who played in the Wellington Darts League in his younger days before he turned pro, lost 4-2 to Joe Cullen.

Cullen went into the tournament as the 14th seed, while Searle was seeded 19.

Defeat will have been a big disappointment for Searle who had been hoping to go much further in the competition.
