COTTAGE Pies will be looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the winter when they play fourth-placed Home Guard II in Wellington Ex-Services Skittles League’s Gerald Thorne Championship at the soccer club on Friday, January 24.

The Pies still have a five-point lead at the top over second-placed Holywell Lake who play lowly Oaks at the Victoria Arms (downstairs).

The following Thursday, January 30, WRFC play Scuppas in the final of the Payne Challenge Cup with only one point separating the teams in the Chris Bullock Championship.

The next evening, Holywell Lake play United Services in the final of the Ken Bright Cup at Wellington Football Club with both teams playing well this winter.
