SEVEN local sports stars were among the winners at the first Somerset Sports Awards ceremony at the Somerset College, Taunton.

They included young athletics star Ronnie Wells (16), who stormed to victory in the 100 metres in the Sainbury's 2012 School Games at the new Olympic Stadium in London last month.
