LOCAL teenage motorcycle racer Bradley Richman went from zero to hero in the space of a few hours at the latest North Glos Road Racing event at Snetterton in Norfolk.

This was the first time Bradley has not been to Snetterton so he and his father Shaun took the opportunity to take part in the test day beforehand on Friday to familiarise themselves with the circuit. Both father and son enjoyed their first experience at this new track and Bradley’s machine was going well after having an engine rebuild after Cadwell. Saturday came all too soon and so did the weather, resulting in a wet track for the boys to contend with.

Unfortunately Bradley had a slight accident during qualifying due to the rain, resulting in some minor damage to the bike. But the rider was fine so their mission was to make the repairs in time for the races later in the day which they succeeded.

Bradley again competed in three classes - the Formula 400, Open 500 and Newcomer’s races and with his dad competed in two different classes - Open 600 and Streetstocks.

Fixing the bike in time to get Bradley out for his next race was no mean feat. The incident certainly didn’t put Bradley off and he went from strength to strength all weekend, slashing his lap time from 1,48.176 to 1,29.258 by the end of Sunday.
